Is PAAK now a reasonable app?

Mine was built in August of '21 (not completed until October of '21). So it doesn't qualify for the free fob.
Yeah, the first batch or two of 2021 Job 2 MMEs only came with one key. The dates on the original CSP only took into account the ‘21 Job 1 cars (pretty sure only in the US as well, but I might be wrong on that). I thought that I read that there was an updated CSP late in 2022 for those early ‘21 Job 2 cars in the US (again, not sure if it affected non-US cars). ??

I have a 21 job 2, fall build, when I picked up in March they already had my 2nd key, claimed they were being generous, but probably just the CSP

It was the early Summer builds that didn’t include the second key. People are jokingly calling the week or so of cars “Job 1-1/2.” ??

Did anyone else get this Letter from Ford? Just got it today!
Tried to get into Dealership to get my extra Key-Fob. As I expected, they know nothing about this Customer Satisfaction Program 22B10 and of course no parts! They said maybe a week, we all know that's a big joke! Nice try Ford, failed again!

OK… so I pulled the 18/19 fuse as some have recommended and PAAK worked reliably for close to a week. Then back to walking up to the car, FordPass shows it’s connected, and nothing. Got the 4.2.2 yesterday and it's working again.

I use it almost 100% of the time, and it has always "worked" in the sense that I've never been stranded or needed to use the door code or backup passcode. But most of the time it requires multiple door button presses before the door will open. It almost never activates the welcome lights while I'm approaching. Sometimes I need to pull the phone out of my pocket and turn it on before it works. It's a slow and poor experience in general, however I still prefer it to carrying a key everywhere.
This is my experience exactly, and I suspect it is also the experience of most people here who say PAAK works "great." I think these folks just have lower expectations.

For much of 2021, I had a lot of "no key detected" issues requiring the backup passcode. In my personal experience, and based upon what I'm hearing from others, this problem is basically solved.

Unfortunately, the car is frequently slow to wake up upon approach, requiring me to wait several seconds or push the button several times in order to open the door. Conversely, the doors open immediately when carrying the fob or upon entering the keypad code.

PAAK performance can be improved somewhat if you have FordPass open on your phone, and if your phone is taken out of your pocket. That also kind of defeats the purpose, IMO, because the whole point of PAAK is to be a substitute for a fob. So the folks who say "PAAK works great as soon as I take it out of my pocket and spin around three times before opening the button" kind of misses the mark of the OP's question.

Yes, the letter came yesterday! A second fob will be much appreciated.

Again this morning, I struggled with PAAK.
And once I finally made it inside, I was stuck in the Guest Profile (yes, creating a dummy profile fixed it, but man, we shouldn't have to struggle with issues like that...).

Maybe some, not all.

Worked very badly for me for like a year. Then I got some software updates a few months ago, and since then the phone key works great, not "great". I don't notice any difference from the real key.

And so I have now stopped accepting any new software updates. If it ain't broke...
