C’mon! This shouldn’t be an either/or choice. When was the last time you saw a new gas station that didn’t have all three - in abundant supply?

Guess we’ll just have to be patient until volume starts driving the market. A little competition would be nice too.
A few months ago when hackers took down the billing system for the Colonial Pipeline and cars were lined up down the block.

Agreed. I’ve solved part of the problem with a bottle of RainX cleaner and a squeegee in the frunk.
I guess I should start packing some along for our next trip

THe nearest EA for me is 40 miles away. so almost no scenario where paying the monthly fee makes sense. COmbine that with the fact that in 3.5 months of ownership I've only charged once and it was on a nearby chargepoint. Only reason I did was I wanted to make sure I knew how to do it.
You are not comprehending the value of a DC fast charging network. You don’t need one next door. You need one 40 miles away. And 100 miles away. And 150 miles away. And so on. You need them when you are called to travel long distance. The one time you do it will make sense to join for at least that trip.

I guess, but I think chargepoint offers what I need and no membership fee.

If they do, great. EA offers a discounted price for membership. I'm not familiar with Charge Point, not many around my neck of the woods
