I've had the same issue since before December.
It's freezing outside so came here to see if there's a solution.

Kicking an old topic here... Did anyone get this sorted? Now my most serious issues are sorted (no update for years), i'm chasing the smaller ones now: my car does not precondition when I set a departure time.

I've set the departure time in app (verified that it is taken over by the car) and have a charger plugged in. Even with temperatures below 0 degrees (Celcius) it does not do anything.

Delete it.

Set it in car. You must be plugged into 240v charger.

I deleted all departures in the app (and verified in the the car that they were gone: all gone). Then I added new ones in the car, and plugged my car (240V, level 2 charger). Let's see what happens tomorrow!

Are you using any 3rd party solutions for power/cost management like Optiwatt?

I was using it through my power provider and found it interfered with the ability to have departure times functioned as desired. Once I disabled it, all was good.

No 3th party solution for power management and no charge window. Nothing in the car and nothing on the charger.

Next thing I will try is to play around with charger settings (zappi Charger: fast/eco) or cabin temperatures. Currently I don't want to preheat the cabin, just the battery.. but I'll play around with those settings as well.

Same with me. Brand new 2025 SR. Worked fine in my 22 ER Lightning. Now if you set a departure time you get a charger error if it’s plugged in. Might be the Pro charger. I can’t leave it plugged in during non scheduled charging hours or when charging preferred times kick in it will trigger a charger fault.

Have you verified the car can indeed charge at the time of the departure time? Such as by increasing the target charge % and verifying power is drawn? Do not change any schedule settings which might bias the outcome of the test.

Yes, bug with the Ford Pro charger in your case. Shut the breaker off for 5 minutes to see if that helps.

I guess the goal is to check if the charger is still capable of delivering power? And that there is no need to actually charge? Because the car is finished charging at that time..

UPDATE: the day after I changed my charger settings from ECO (4 kW) to FAST (11 kW) my car started preconditioning. Ill do some tests the coming weeks to see if it's a coincidence or that there is really a relation.

It did get resolved for me, and the resolution was updating all the modules for the entire vehicle, which took some time. Not sure which one specifically solved it, but the dealer took the time to update everything.
