Issue updating RFA

I was doing my normal occasional updates in FDRS after updating FDRS to latest (40.4.5). HVAC and Audio DSP went fine but Remote Function Actuator keeps failing validation. I tried it again, then tried redownloading the tool and its software, then tried programming again — same result. There’s no error during programming, only validation. Here’s the error, anyone have an idea why it might be failing or what to do about it? TIA!

Funny you mention that, mines in the shop right now that part just came in they replacing it, and also that Service bulletin that came out about the one pedal. They’re going to go ahead and check that out while they’ve got the vehicle and reprogram everything if they need to.

Which part are they replacing? Something related to one pedal? It'd be interesting if they tell you if they had trouble programming RFA -- and if they don't mention it, maybe you can ask and see if they had issues

Here’s what was going on with me and I’ve already had one of the experts on here Tell me it has no effect, but I’ve not been getting any updates and when I took my car into the shop to have them do updates on my car the actual module, the part the RFA was defective so they removed it and ordered a new one. It came in today, so while they have the vehicle in the shop I asked them to look at that service bulletin on the One pedal and just update any modules they need to update. They said they would do that anyways they had a lightning in there the other day that had some type of issue with the front trunk and had to update a bunch of modules.

I had the exact same problem as you with RFA this week, with the exact same error message displayed at the end of the process.

In a post over here user Blue highway reports that he thinks the FDRS script itself is written wrong.

This won't complete until Ford updates the script.
