I sold my 2021 Mach-E Select AWD to my dealer and took advantage of the $8500 lease credit, which ends Sept 30th. I thought I would keep the first one forever, but my wife was always complaining about the bouncy ride, and she drives it more than I do. After calculating costs to update suspension and put new tires on, plus finishing financing on mine, it made financial sense to go new.
Things I LOVE about the new car:
It has an excellent ride, not bouncy anymore!
LFP battery instead of NMC on my original. LFP is safer and I suspect will be less likely to cause the dreaded HVBJB failure, which I experienced with my first car.
Body color fenders instead of black plastic, so much cleaner looking.
Nicer stereo, air conditioned seats, the ability to get a premium without the glass roof.
While it is not a game changer, I do like the shifter on the stalk. Ergonomically, it makes sense.
Frunk button on the key fob. Maybe I will actually use the frunk now...but I never used it in the first car over 4 years.
Glacier Gray paint looks really nice!
I like the new wheel design.
Shouting "hey Ford," then giving commands for the infotainment.
FordPass now lets me turn on climate control, as well as control seat temp and air temp, which is pretty cool.
Doors don't make motor noise when opening now.
I've only had it half a day so far, but the changes are great! The suspension was the most worthwhile thing, next to the killer deal on the car. One thing I would ask Ford to change is the headliner color. If you get black interior, make the headliner black. It looks and stays cleaner than light gray.
