I have a MME 21, and there have not been any software updates since August. Is there any known way to push these/force these?

Unless things are especially different in the UK, no. However, some updates for 2021s have started rolling out here in the US. Prior to that the last ones here were May/June.

I got my MME in Feb 2024 and got a dozen of updates since, all useless... Don't expect Ford to provide new features with OTA updates. It's not in Ford's DNA to do so. Ford is no Tesla. It's a legacy automaker with a legacy mindset.

There is an excellent video on youtube explaining the failure of legacy automakers, and why they will all disappear very soon. Watch here :

A little hyperbole with my coffee this morning?

So pretty soon the only automotive manufacturers in existence will be Tesla, Rivian, Lucid, Fisker, Nio, Xpeng, Canoo, Vinfast....... ?

My 2021’s FordPass still thinks that it’s last OTA was in November of 2023 even though I clearly recall tapping Update Now for OTAs that arrived in March and May of 2024. May was my last update on the 2021. After that there was a hold on OTA updates until early December of 2024, when OTAs started dribbling out to 2021s. At that point I had already traded it in on a 2024. ?‍♂?

For the most part, I find the updates worse than useless. Turned them off years ago, and good riddance.

Let's make your joke better. Fisker is gone and Canoo almost. Replace them with BYD and Xiaomi to be more up to date. lol

Yeah how do they stay in business by not adding new features to your less than 1 year old car while they add new features to their 2-3 year old cars. Stupid old company. 2011 Tesla’s car are flying cars now after all the new features added every other week.

EDIT: WTF is that video about. It reminds me of politicians, a bunch of old men, spreading propaganda.

@Ford Motor Company is going to fail. Theres no way around it. Tesla, Rivian, and Lucid keep delivering features we want and Ford delivers empty promises

I knew the list of "non-legacy" manufacturers I typed included some that had already failed. And some that are FAR closer to disappearing tomorrow than the Legacy brands that dominate the American consumer market.

I did not put the non legacy brands (EV) that aren't available to the market because supposedly they are a threat to national security. (code for they would FORCE the sandbagging to decrease)

It's true, in my opinion, that the current US market for EVs is not starving for more EVs than are already available. But that BYD Shark in the video is a technology that isn't even available here.

At least if Stelantiss does in fact carry through with the RamCharger in May 2025, the cat will be out of the bag for one example of this approach. Of course that's NOT the brand I would have hoped for pioneering the niche. ??

I would love for one of the sandbagging Legacy manufacturers to build their version of the BYD Shark. And for one of them to build a SuperDuty Powerboost. I know they are more than capable.

Maybe, Lucid does make cool cars but their software is not good, Rivian has the same issue with bad software and both are struggling. Tesla is doing good but their stuff is so generic even they have admitted they won't make cars forever. I would guess they will spin off the automotive manufacturing and concentrate on software and charging infrastructure.

The next 10-15 years will be interesting and I don't think any current car manufacturer is safe
