Took in my Mach-Efor what should have been warrantied work. No appointments available for about 2 months because there is only one EV tech servicing 3 dealerships. The next closest dealerships are more than 90 minutes away. Now I'm 8000 miles past my warranty and the dealer says I have to pay full fare because my warranty expired. Ford is not honoring their committment to buyers. This is completely unacceptable.

Hmm did you try to book the appt before the warranty expired? I'd call bullshit on them if that was the case as they can remotely see the mileage on your car and cross ref when the appointment attempt was made.

Of course I did. Months before. I am calling BS but the dealer is pushing back. They still have my car because I am arguing with them over it.

To be clear, you're at the dealership now, using the appointment you scheduled 2 months ago before your warranty expired? That's quite a lot of miles to drive in 2 months but not be willing to drive 90 minutes to get your car serviced sooner. Hindsight is 20/20, but I'd have told the dealer when I was making the appointment I was almost out of warranty and needed to be seen before it was up.

I'd just call the BEV Ford line and see if they can help, but this is a discretion item up to dealers/Ford. If the car is brought in after the warranty expires, you're out of luck. If you had been able to get it just physically checked in, where they documented it is was within warranty and the issues you had, but asked you to bring it back when they had a tech available, then you'd be fine. They're usually lenient with this, though. If you at least told them the issues when you made the appointment, they should still do it under warranty.

Generally, issues noted before the warranty expires that don't get fully resolved get an additional 12 months.

Their excuse is they did not see the car when you made the appointment to confirm the issue. When they checked the car to confirm the issue, the warranty expired. Not much you can do if Ford does not honor them. My advice is, be done with Ford and move on.
