Car been at dealer for almost 3 weeks. Just learned part is back ordered for another 2 weeks. Considering filing a lemon law claim. In Michigan if car unavailable for 30 days in first year of ownership can file a claim.
Wondering about others that have been through this process? What to expect? Use a lawyer that specializes in the process? Good steps to take/avoid?

Cut and pasted from another post:
Call Ford at (800) 392-3673 and tell them you wish to initiate a buy back and why. They will initiate the process with little effort or push back.

Really? And that means get a full refund of purchase price or negotiating a refund?

Every circumstance is different and most state laws very. Call ford, start a claim and see what they offer. If your not happy search out legal advice. You are not obligated to accept Ford's terms.

I think someone here has mentioned your usage out of 120k. So if you only drove 12k, you'll get about 90% of your money back.

Depending on when you purchased, 90% would get you a new one.

Go to Ford. We did it with our lemon "21" Mach-e and Ford bought it back. They paid off our loan and gave us cash.
