Just want to let everyone know that I bit the bullet and purchased the front and rear glowing ponies from China. I know I can figure it out, I just need to see how well it glows and how easy/nightmarish it is to install. Luckily, I have many years with a volt meter and a dream! Onward!!

Does anyone have the latest PDF instructions for installation? I went through this thread and it seems they have been taken down from the links.

Also - I got shipped one of the 6k versions with no diffusion. Does anyone have an recommendation on a coating a could apply to the plastic to increase diffusion?

My '22 should be here with me in the next few days and this is one of the first things i plan to do!

My 12 year old boy and me put this on tonight. It might have taken closer to 2 hours but I took my time.

That really does look incredible! For vanity reasons I probably would have taken an option to get a lighted logo; avoided the GT model because I didn't need the added performance, wanted a light-colored interior, and didn't like the black front fascia (a month into ownership and I still do double-takes on the front of my car because it looks amazing as all one color).

I'm intimidated by the prospect of the install but I'll be watching this project.

So where now can one purchase this? And what is the proper color option to match the DLR

I have 2 questions.

1) If you want the the pony to be on when the DLRs as well (not only when the full headlines are on), the only option for that is the "always on" wiring, correct?

2) Im not a frequent driver so I charge mostly on level 1 at home. If I wire the pony with the "always on" option, my understanding is that the pony will be on the entire time the car is charging. Sometimes I can have rather long charge sessions (spread over days) given I primarily use level 1. Should I be worried about the 12v battery health if I do always on wiring given the pony could be on for the entire length of charges of that length)

I have level 1 at the rental house I'm in now - new house is under construction.

Finally - I got a 6k version with all the dots. I think I came up with an inexpensive way to diffuse the light - I'll be trying it over next few days and will post results

I don’t believe that is correct. It will be on any time the headlight assembly has power, which is basically any time the eyebrow lights are on. So it should not be on while charging as no part of the headlight is on while charging.

In the newest Instructions it states the "always on" is not the recommended option. Can anyone explain what the real differences are? The always on install seems significantly easier.

I have still not received my Kickstarter-backed badge and John is not responding to my messages on Kickstarter or DM here. Anyone else in the same boat? Not happy.

I still haven’t received mine, but I know John was still mailing them out last week, so you may be in the last batch of mail outs.

I got an email from John on Tuesday saying a package was in the mail. It showed up on Thursday. (Estimate was Friday, so that was good.)
Tried to work thru the install with my son, got the frunk out, and didn't finish it up.
Snaking a wire thru the firewall is not as easy as John makes it look..... IMO anyway....

Did everyone get the voltage regulator he mentioned? I still haven't received it.

It seems to be on anytime the car is awake. If you lock your car and leave it would say on for quite a while (10-15 mins perhaps), even with all the headlights off. I would not recommend it. The firewall is a little irritating but it's doable, especially if you can have a helper push it once you get it started and go underneath to help fish it through.

The one I received on Thursday already had the zener diode attached. I had to drill out the upper hole for the wire a little bit more (1/4") to push it thru.
