Lights come on when walking up

Good afternoon,

Brand new Mach E owner here, picked up a 23 Premium on Friday.

I have noticed several times when I walk around the car, (going for a walk, or taking the dogs out) the running lights come on.

I’ve tried turning off off the warning sensor in the settings but it still happens.

Anyone have any suggestions ?

Leave your key fob inside. Or, turn off BT on your phone if you have PaaK setup.

This has nothing to do with the Pony projection?

Was wondering about this behavior to. It activates light even when I walk next to it through bushes in my garden.

As long as it doesn't unlock without phone or FOB I actually don't care.

It doesn't unlock with either.

HOWEVER, if you are within PaaK bluetooth distance, and someone pushes a door button, it will open. FOB has to be within a very short distance, but PaaK has a much longer reach.

The horn/light combo is great too but seems to annoy people.

I have the opposite problem. My welcome lights don’t normally come on at all. lol

Think of the car like its a puppy.

Those lights are it just getting excited saying "Are we going to go for walkies??"

Mine comes on in the garage although i am in the house. Alerts my garage motion camera. Not a problem but it can be annoying.

Think of it as a security feature and you can see if someone else is somehow in your car. Security Feature
