Losing power while plugged in?

The last few times I have charged the car reports a lower percentage when it is started.

As an example, I charged to 90% last night. Ford app reported the charge was complete. I was charging at home, so it stayed plugged in (not charging) until I woke up this morning. Got in, started it and it reported 88%.

Normal behavior?

The battery probably cooled off or an air temperature change. The best thing to do if you are going somewhere is to set a departure time, lots of advantages doing it that way.

The computer readjusted its estimate after the battery rested and cooled off. It didn’t really “lose power”. It just had less power in reality than the computer originally thought.

Summarizing the others’ answers, yes this is perfectly normal. Sometimes it even happens that it will show a higher number the next day…

I charge mine to 80% all the time. I can drive to the store and it immediately drops to 79%. I get back home and it's at 81%. This occurs frequently. Enjoy the ride.

When I charge to 100% and set a departure time with pre-heating, then it takes approx.20 km before the display goes below 100% Outside temp approx. 10 C.
