Lying and poor service

Would that not be dandy.
Please remember that for many of us FordPass does not work.
There is no SECURIALERT to switch on; any "available" updates must be manually forced via Play Store; no Power-Ups; no OTAs - blocked by FordPass; etc.....
Haha, I did this while my car was getting worked on. WHen I got it back the securialert option was gone for several days after so it was stuck on. That was annoying.

So to the original post. I don't think he was flat out lying to you. Your car wasn't ready, he knew that much, but he doesn't dispatch the technicians. Someone else does that. So he would have to physically go check to see if they had even started on it. You didn't ask him to do that so he just said it is still being worked on which is the truth - it wasn't finished.

It is pretty common for you to drop your car off for an apt and if you're not waiting they may not start working on it for a day or two. I've had that happen multiple times when they're crazy busy. I do hate dealers but going to stick up for the service advisor this time.

Yeah, and I guess it makes sense to have canned responses for where the car is in the pipeline. At least today's response was more open "In contact with ford, they are having us send videos of all the tests for the car. Should have an update soon"

I don't know if it's a good idea to rely on a Ford software app considering how buggy their software is.
