We haven’t had a gas mower in decades.

Stopped to get gas for my lawn mower and guy pulled up in a new Jeep saying it was pretty funny seeing an EV at a gas station?

Sometime in May. There was no place else to park (that was safe for a brand new car). I left the charge port open to fake people out. ;)

Gas for a lawn mower. Pffft. I've got the batteries for my rechargeable Ryobi One+ lawn mower plugged in right next to the 240v charging outlet for my Mach-E...

If any one of you want to volunteer to come cut my 3 acres of grass with an electric lawn mower I will gladly accept purely for entertainment value ?.

Some of us still need gas...

Make sure you buy a spare before 2024 or you might have to make a trip to Nevada for a new one lol

Yeah the SORE law is gonna be interesting. I'm waiting to see how it plays out. I.e. are propane powered engines included? I can't find anything that really speaks to that other than the "spark-driven" language. It's also only for 25hp engines and below. Most riding mowers are at about 20 already so I assume they will just up them a bit and bypass the law. As for generators I have a 25kWh gen and it only applies to 19kWh and below.

I feel like it's just going to make companies increase the hp, unnecessarily, in an effort to side-step the provisions which will in turn just pollute more.

On my first road trip after charging at an EA at a Sheetz, I had to drive over to the pumps to clean the cicadas off my windshield... Felt strange, haha. They don't give the EV's squeegees or cover from the rain ?

My snow blower is my last remaining gas item (other then the wife's macan). Snow blowers are a little too harsh for batteries to last right now for any real amount of runtime. Note I'm talking one capable of moving HEAVY DEEP SNOW. Not your 2" powder jobs.

Ha, ok, you've got a point. I mean, I have a handful of swappable rechargeable batteries for my Ryobi mower, so it's not too hard to flip from one to the next and keep a few at the ready, but I get it. I guess the bigger question is why so many acres of just grass? Throw some trees and other plants in there and let some of the grass just grow. I'm all for well manicured baseball diamonds, but other than that, I like to let nature happen. ?

I have over 50 trees... So bring your electric chain saw while you're at it ?
