I just leased a Mach E and don't want to spend too much money on floor mats or cargo liner. I ordered an inexpensive cargo liner from Amazon. After I tried to install it I discovered that it is designed for the upper position of the cargo floor. (I didn't even realize there were two positions until I started researching why my cargo liner didn't fit.) Since I intend to use the lower position, I am looking for a cargo liner to fit there. Is ASOK's cargo liner is designed to be used in the upper or lower position of the floor?

I have the weather tech liner in the rear and while it says it’s designed for the upper position, I find it works fine in the lower one as well.
only thing to watch is the aosk rubber mats I got for the back of the rear seats that Velcro on. If they catch the liner when putting the seats back up it Will fold the corners in. Just gotta check when moving the seat backs

I believe the only liner that fits perfectly with the cargo floor in the lower position is the Ford branded one. I have a 3D Maxpider set and there’s a gap in the lower position. I don’t see it since my crate is in there all the time. ?‍♂?

Be aware that to support a lot of weight the rear floor should be in the down or flat position. In the upper position it is only supported by two side posts. I would not load several heavy luggage roller bags on it or drop something heavy on it. Previous posts mentioned this.

I have the ford one (because fordpass points have to go somewhere) and it's a little hard to use. You have to jam it forward and back a little to get access to the under-area where the charger and inflation system are usually stored. I wish there was a cargo cover that worked well in the lower position and had some kind of easier to use handle so I could pull up that cover to access that storage space.

I went with this one from Canvasback. The long version covers with the floor up or down. It's not cheap...

I went with the full package from Canvasback and installed it this morning. Love the look and the protection from the pets. It takes a while to get shipped but the quality is top notch. Glad I went with the plaid as well, compliments the color and the car really well. Got the storage bag too for the parts you don’t need all the time and it all stores under the trunk floorboard. ?

The Tuxmat one doesnt fit well in the lower position because of the floor 'tabs', but only there. I really like the rear mat otherwise.

Cute puppydogs!

You know, although not specific to the MME, I hate the way the trunk access is designed such that there are painted surfaces in the way of loading cargo, so that you have to reach over them or risk scratching the shit out of the paint. The cargo liner shown by Reiko above is a great solution to protecting this area, I just wish the designers would think about lifting heavy bags of concrete or mulch, or whatever without having to worry about paint damage. In other words, design the plastic threshold so it extends all the way to rear of the car but would be covered by the hatch when closed.

Remember the trunk floor can only support 700lbs in the lower position. 250~300 in the upper is I remember right.

I was not aware of this so thanks for the info, I will have to be carful loading. I have the Tuxmat which only works in the lower position. Excellent mats though, especially the front and middle it has great coverage and looks clean.
