OK, I know that some of you don't care about top level performance. This is a thread for those that do care. Please, no posts like "Why do you need to go that fast" etc. There's a reason this car is part of the Mustang family...
The screen grab from the Ford website posted below shows there is a difference between the GT and the GT Performance. I hadn't noticed this before other than some folks pooh poohing the difference. This is news to me anyways. So, according to the Ford website, the GT will not be 0-60 competitive with the Performance Y. The GT Performance edition will be. Reading about the 0-60 time in the mid 3s on the Ford website further confirms this as footnotes point out that mid 3 second 0-60 performance will require "Optional equipment" on top of the GT model. The standard GT is targeting "sub 4 0-60" the GT Performance is targeting "Mid 3 second."
Once I go to pre-order, there is a GT model, but no "GT Performance" option. So I'm guessing this will have to be added later at a higher cost? Does anyone have anything other than a guess how much the Performance option is going to cost, and when it will be available?
