This is absolutely OUTRAGEOUS. How can you be okay with FORD not providing you with a replacement car?
I am actually doubting that this is real? Just think of the depreciation of the car that is now 1.5 years older and you never drove it?

And the kicker is that he "loves" the car?

I can't think of too many things that I would have owned that I wouldn't be able to use for over a year and a half because it was broken down and couldn't be fixed for over a year and say, "I love this car!!!".

Too funny and sad at the same time.......................

Like I said, this has to be fake.

Maybe it is those pesky Tesla posters fomenting insurrection in the Ford ranks.
(Insert sarcasm emoji here.)

I’ve DM’d others in the chain that can confirm through FDRS what I’m saying is true and accurate. I’m not concerned what others might think about believing me. I don’t believe half of what I read on social media either. Don’t blame you.

Yes, “I love this car” - the Mach E. I don’t love my experience. Obviously, I’m not ok with it. I explained in my original post that I have now driven quite a few other Ford vehicles. Yep, still like the Mach E better than any of those other driving experiences.

I thought it was clear that I’m not ok with Ford not providing me with a replacement. That’s pretty much the main point of my original post.

All good. Don't lose your patience now ;) Pretty sure one of the Ford boys would have flagged it after you sent them the VIN. Since they did not I take it as fact. Hoping they can do something for you because love from afar is not as good.

Thanks, Shayne. I appreciate the encouragement.

I know some are going to think I’m crazy, but…
I’ve owned and driven SO many cars over my life. Mercedes, BMW, Toyota, Honda, Infiniti, Ford, on and on. And, yep, the Mach E has honestly been my favorite car. This experience, not so much, LOL. It fits my needs and enjoyment in a lot of ways.

The EV tech I also love quick and quite is the key. Clean and cheap on fuel is also good. Ford has had their share of bumps and appears they have turn their backs on fixing the car for us EA's for the past couple of years now. It is like pulling teeth now for Ford to acknowledge and fix a problem that I have had for a year and half. Still pushing but it is a black hole. My service is great ford not so much. I will be sticking with the EV tech. When it works like it should it is great.

This seems unbelievable to me that you would still "love" a car that is no better than a wall hanging at this point, so I feel compelled to give you the award for the most patient man in history.

If you can honestly say that "the car" that has been in the shop for a year and a half is your favorite car, I would hate to see the other cars that you drove?

I get where you may like the ride, looks or something else about it but if I were in your shoes, I would definitely not purchase another Ford and I would sure hell not purchase another car that was in the repair shop for a year and a half. This reminds me of the Seinfeld episode "Bizzaro World"

We live in a day that nobody can believe someone can be so polite, patient, honest, and apparently immune to bitterness.

I don't think this forum can offend him either. :)

There's hope for our species yet ?

I so hope that this thread will document the end result of this baffling story of 1 Mach-E.
Wish I was wealthy enough to send him a brand new one anonymously.

Here's how I honestly look at it. To me it seems rational, but maybe it is bizarro.

If I am one of thousands of people that owns a car, and someone else has a strange experience, am I going to change my opinion of the car? Is my singular experience going to change your opinion, good or bad, about the car?

Let me try putting it another way. If I bought a Toyota Camry that hundreds of thousands of people have driven hundreds of thousands of miles, but mine has broken down constantly, does that mean I never buy another Toyota Camry again. Maybe some people think that way. I don't. I really don't think it's bizzaro; it's just not getting overly emotionally involved in my experience when the data shows something different. Now, I don't think the Mach E has the same reliability as the Camry. I'm ok with that. It does, at least according to Consumer Reports, (https://www.consumerreports.org/car...on-latest-car-reliability-survey-a9891586663/) have a pretty decent reliability rating (second best among EVs).

I drove my car for two years and saved about $150 to $200+ per month in the difference between gas costs and electric costs when charging at home. I've only used a public charger a handful of times on a 1000 mile round trip. I loved the way it drove. I liked the technology. I liked the money it saved me. I liked getting into a "full" car everyday and never having to stop for gas. I have driven many other Mach E's since mine has been in the shop. I've liked the experience in all of them better than I have other vehicles. Is that strange? I have had this bad experience, but most others have not. I hope that Ford will come through for me, but I am VERY disappointed that they turned me down in their Buyback program, and I am working out what my next options are.

I'll see where this takes me next, but I'm not going to let any experience change my peace of mind. How someone else treats me is totally out of my control. How I respond to it is 100% on me and how I decide to live with it. No one can touch or affect that. I am always in control of how and how much I chose to enjoy my life.

Sorry, didn't mean to get philosophical there at the end.

I am curious though, you have a 2022 Mach E? Do you like yours? What has your experience been? Truly curious.

One more thought that maybe will make me sound a little less bizzaro. IF I am not able to resolve this in a way that I feel is treating me equitably, I probably will not buy another Ford vehicle. There should be consequences to our actions, or lack thereof.

Papa T. I apologize for doubting you, and hat’s off to you for being a good person.

I actually thoughts about the lack of complaints from the folks you shared your VIN with after I posted.

I read the "apology" so I get where you are coming from. Something needs to break or we can put our heads between our legs and kiss it good bye.

I hope that some of the Ford boys here pick up the mantel and give him a great Christmas. At least give him an indication it will be a happy new year.

Maybe they could make a trade on a MME that actually moves for Christmas. That would be great.
