Yea i guess they put em there so you can't shift into drive I think, or turn the car on fully maybe. It was completely off inside till Jose sat inside to take all these pics. They must have walked over with the keys while he was in cuz I heard them say, "just promise me you won't turn it on and drive away" or something like that.
I wish they'd lose the Black Polish at 6 O'Clock position. Give me polished chrome or brushed nickle, or .... Anything but high polish black. It just shows finger prints and doesn't age well.
I absolutely noticed that. They kept telling me please do not drive the car off. hahahahahaha!
Yes the boot floor can be lowered I went ahead and did that immediately when I got to the car. The windows in the rear go almost all the way, I would say maybe 1 inch only showing. I didn't test out the pinch protection in the boot lid and windows, sorry I cannot confirm that.

That tiny section of black polish is nothing compared to what other vehicles.....like the tesla model y with the super shiny console. So yeah Ford did much better, but if you really want to just buy carbon fiber film. It is what most Tesla owners use because they cannot stand the finger and smudge magnet. There is a reason Tesla recently updated the center console to a different material and look because of all the complaints.
Also the highly polished black trim all around the outside of the car will show dirt and scratces more than normal paint. be careful wiping road and/salts there in winter.
yeah that is true it should have been the same black plastic most suvs have that is pretty durable and have like a matte finish kinda around the wheel well.
If the Ford Hybrids have a 120 VAC outlet (since 2009), the Mach-E must have it, too.
It's not in the specs and no one has spotted one in the tours. I don't think there is one.
