GT VS PREMIUM- when my lease is up on my 2023 Premium Mach-E, I may lean towards getting the GT Model, can anyone vouch for the acceleration of the GT vs Premium Model. Does the GT push you back in the seat like a dual motor Tesla does :) Although the Premium model has nice acceleration, it's nothing like I've felt in the Tesla Dual Motor.

I had a premium ER AWD for 30 months and switched to a GT w/o performance upgrade and driving on 19” winter tires for 1 month.

The GT is significantly faster, feels lighter (despite weighing more), and is much more well mannered on rough surfaces. The seats are also more comfortable than the premium and not by a little.

It really is a different vehicle altogether.

I can’t wait till the summer when I’d have the performance upgrade and fit the wheels with Pirellis (I’m getting rid of the conti all season tires).

My advice is to shave the mustache and grow a goatee. You won’t regret it.

Depends on which dual motor Tesla. It pushes you harder than a non-performance Y or 3. Not quite as hard as a Performance 3. Similar to a Performance Y. The Magneride suspension makes it smoother than the Y and it handles decently as opposed to the Tesla’s even less precise handling. ??

The Rally is a GT with a Rally package, the cost is not a lot more, if you are looking at GTs, I would recommend looking at a Rally also. It has some suspension improvements and 19" wheels instead of 20", more sidewall on the 19" wheels for a smoother ride. I have a 21 GT and a 25 Rally on order to replace it. 0-60 on a Rally is 3.4 seconds, on the GT is 3.8 seconds, on your premium is 4.8 seconds I think - AWD is a little faster than RWD.

Since the feel of acceleration is somewhat subjective to each person go take a test drive. In my opinion only you can make that determination if it’s to your liking or not to go GT over Premium. ?

I have an idea, since the feel of acceleration is somewhat subjective to each person go take a test drive. ? Sorry, don’t mean to give you too hard a time but only you can make that determination if it’s to your liking or not to go GT over Premium. ?
I don't think it's subjective, either it feels faster, or it doesn't, I can tell you for example, the Tesla Dual Motor version, takes off like a rocket without any lag, the MACH Premium acceleration is not immediate lie this, I am wondering if the GT is immediate, I don't want a Tesla :)

The performance and ride on the GTPE are significantly better than the Premium. There is one notable downside to consider though, other than higher price: The GT will have quite a bit less range (much more than the EPA numbers suggest). Premiums seem to exceed their EPA range estimates, GTs fall short.

You will love the GT! I have the 24 with the performance upgrade. I beat a Model Y performance at Irwindale Dragstrip. It is as quick as you would expect it to be. The shove is insane, especially in the lower speeds with that 700 torque! 11.8@115mph in the 1/4 mile and 0-60 in 3.3 seconds.

I can vouch for the difference vs the premium for you. The AWD Ext range is decent, especially from 0-60, but it tapers off quick and doesn't have the pull from a roll like the GT, especially with the performance upgrade!

and come to find out, my buddy has the Tesla "Performance" Model 3,,,,,,so this is what I'd be comparing the Mach-E GT to.

The 2024 GT with the Performance Upgrade (PU or “Pee-Yeeeewww”) is pretty equivalent to the Tesla Model 3 Performance in acceleration. It would be a fun afternoon at the drag strip. ??

I get you but my point is merely that only you can decide if the difference is enough for you to go with a GT or not. And, only you can decide for yourself by taking a test drive. I certainly would not want someone else deciding for me based on their opinion. :cool:

I had a 23 premium AWD standard range at the time it was $7k more for ER. I was on the fence to play just for a 90 mile additional. When Ford dropped pricing in Feb 24 the opportunity to upgrade with very little change. My dealer did not have a premium AWD ER however a GT was in Rapid Red. The dealer sold me the GT at the same price. They wanted to rid of 23 inventory. Sure I like the extra torque is great. My only complaint is I do not like the microfiber seats. What ever you decide enjoy it!
