Mach E Training Opportunity

I have an opportunity coming up to bring my 2025 Mach E Premium to the community college in New Jersey where I completed a two year automotive program in 2020. As an alumni member of the Advisory Committee, I get invited to an annual meetings to hear about the latest programs and meet with representatives from local dealership service departments that recruit students from this college program. The college recently expanded their facilities and has added more course content on EVs, HEVs and PHEVs. For the upcoming meeting, I have offered to have my Mach E on display in the shop. The intention is to demonstrate some of the design and service basics to the students that attend such as using the correct lifting points. I will be putting it on their two post lift using the pucks I learned about on this forum. I’d like to expand this demonstration by removing the frunk and surrounding plastic covers to show things like where the 12 volt battery is located and point put the EV components that are visible with the frunk removed. Last week I watched a Ford tech remove those pieces in my garage when I had a recall 25C71 for the LED Driver Control Module software done so feel very comfortable to do that myself. Another thing that I was thinking would be nice is to have is a poster board that show the various EV components on the Mach E. I’m thinking there must be some existing pictures in the service manual. I already have the drawing with the lift points. I plan to search the this forum for more plus have access to the college’s ShopKey program. The best would be a 3D schematic type drawing of the entire car where you can see the battery, front /rear AC motors, inverter etc. I may order the service manual Ford offers for purchase and perhaps that might be the best source for information like this. The Advisory Meeting is on March 18th , so I have only a few weeks to pull this together. Any guidance to find this information would be greatly appreciated. I also wonder if anyone has published a book on the Mach E.

You can take a look at WeberAuto at WSU for a older teardown that did of the vehicle, which would give you an idea at least on how parts are connected and what they look like. The same with Munro & Associates as well... older teardowns, but lots of good information.

For part diagrams, you can check free sources like Ford parts or as you mentioned, you can buy a several day service manual from Ford related to the MME and other vehicles as well.

Thanks to all for the information and links to technical aspects of the Mach E . I have lots of homework now! I had previously watched a Munro and Associates teardown and analysis of the Mach E rear motor with interest and will look for more. This morning I’m up early watching a WeberAuto video on disconnecting the high voltage battery. This all pretty quickly gets above my capabilities and comfort level, however it helps with my objective to identify components visible under my frunk and including some good screen shots of the disassembled components not visible. My hope is this will encourage students to augment their general automotive training as I truly believe this will be a big part of their future.
