The gear selector looks like the exact same part as on the current Fusion/Mondeo, which is 100% fine - it's a straightforward control that will be instantly usable by anyone. I like it more than the "traditional" stick-type automatic lever on my 2013 Fusion - the big stick always feels a bit stupid when I know it's basically just a giant electrical switch with some safety bits on it.Interesting to note that Ford has moved away from the "B" designation for a high regeneration mode used in the Toyota Prius and Nissan Leaf and have "L" on the shifter.
