haha if Ford gave you more than 5 seconds of power you wouldn't be saying that.

It is an extremely practical car, and in my opinion has enough performance to feel like a sports car.

With that being said I hope you get your 10seconds of power.
Hmmm. No, it isn't about the 5 seconds. The Lightning is far superior and is what, two years later? What's going to come down the pipe in 2 more years? What about 10 more years? The MME will be the 1979 version of the Fox Body.

I love my GTPE though.

Uh, no. The MME is not going to be much more than a blurb in the annals of automotive history. It'll be known more for the controversial name than anything else.
Oh yes! It’ll be History. Whether you like it or not. It’s the first Electric Mustang ever. That fact alone gives it it’s place in Fords and the automotive history.
What place that is…time will tell.
But it’s crazy that there is still that much negativity because of the name.

Ford Motor Company from the 1960s is back, and they got the design team from the Galaxie 500 to build a modern EV.
I have a ‘59 Galaxie 500 292 y-block v8. Colonial white. It drives like a tank. It gives perspective on how good the MME is.

The Lightning is superior by what metric? 0-60 time? You're comparing a 100k electric pickup to a small-size crossover SUV. Yeah, you can get to 100 pretty quick, but good luck braking it at those speeds in heavy traffic. Two totally different vehicles for two totally different purposes.

I think he’s comparing ICE to EV in Mustang vs. Mach E or F150 vs. Lightning. The Lightning is/will be legendary because it’s a 1st in production volumes. The Mach E was beat to market by Tesla. Just my 2 cents.

It is amazing, I'm getting questions on my Mach e every day. And they all ask the same repeated question.
When will you get it?

Wait till the Shelby model comes out. Once they unrestrict that 5 sec power and pull the cap off the top speed, I'm sure it will smoke any combustion mustang out there. The GTPE drivetrain is a great motor... they're just playing it safe for now.

My opinion is there will always be better/faster being developed. The Mach E 1400 was done. When I ordered my ‘21 Premium, the GT and GTPE was not yet taking orders. It was my choice not to wait. In my younger days I had a 428 Cobra Replica. My need for speed was satisfied. The 2nd picture is my other EV.

I suppose in the annals of Mustangs, there will be an entry for the Mach E as the first electric "Mustang". Other than that, nothing notable or special about the car that makes it historic. EVs have been mass produced for years, it doesn't really advance the platform in any significant way, there's already competing CUVs with similar features and form factors. Nice enough car though, I can't wait to start driving mine.

I actually hope my car goes unnoticed. EVs are being targeted for vandalism.

So Cal MME owner here, after more than a year of owning it, I'm still getting people complimenting and asking questions about it. Picked up our order of Pho yesterday and owner asked how long we've had the car for and how much it cost ?

Yeah I've never understood the fascination. I still get a few people a week walking up to talk about my Model 3. Literally completely stock, looks like half the cars on the road.

It was the same with my 2015 Mustang convertible. Looked like every rental car you drove off the lot but I always had people coming up to me.

I'm coming to realize it must just be me and my personality, not the cars! ?

I get asked about the color, it’s Infinite Blue Metallic (just waxed). Looks good.
