Main, large screen reboot while driving?

Mine just did it for the first time while driving this morning. Not a good feeling when going down the street. Did they every figure out what was causing it?

I saw this last week on my 22 GTPE as well. It had like 300 miles on it at the time.

Mine does it quite frequently. I can't really determine why. Every time it does it I think the car is bricking again.

My search-fu isn't doing the job tonight, so I apologize if this has been discussed ad nauseam I guess I just couldn't find the right terms.

On our road trip, after about five hours on the road, the main, large screen just randomly rebooted. We were listening to our audiobook. It cut off, the screen went blank, stayed blank for a few (tens of?) seconds, then the Ford logo came back and the screen rebooted.

Has anyone experienced this before?

Yes!

After many months of screen glitches, I believe it was a module update that 'caught?' the screen glitch and auto rebooted. Twice this has happened, random booting of the SYNC screen.

@Ford Motor Company - experienced the same problem today driving on the freeway. Infotainment system froze using CarPlay, screen turned black and then rebooted. We have had the vehicle for less than 2 months.. is there a fix?

This actually just happened to me today while driving on the freeway.

I got my car in July and it happened twice in the first week of ownership and then not again. I figured it was a software update.
