Anyone ever have this happen to them?

I’ve got the car scheduled to charge 12a-8a for power company benefits.

yesterday, came home and had to take a longer trip than expected, and due to the cold, decided to charge a little on a stop at home ~1pm. I plugged in, and in FordPass selected “charge to 100%” to override the schedule. when I left, just unplugged it. Got an accidental unplug warning on the app. Later that night, got home and plugged the pony in for a cozy bedtime.

this morning… woke up and found the car didn’t charge overnight?! No data in the charging log in FordPass. Again, hit charge to 100% and it started charging right away

What happened?!

I have found that weekend charging, specifically Sunday charging, can be problematic with a schedule, even when I've set it to charge 23 hours and 55 minutes on weekends.

I suspect that if you had unplugged it during the 12 - 8 timeframe, and then plugged it back in, it would have worked fine.

Do you really get different rates overnight on the weekend?

Hmm… weird. Never had the issue before! Figured it was because I had overridden the schedule during the day and then had the unplug?

it’s a 3rd party integration with the power company. SmartCharge. Gives me $0.10 per kWh if charge 12-8a any day. Weekends inclusive. During summer, if you avoid charging 2-6pm in the power company’s district, you get extra $$ as a set rate.

I've had the Ford Charger for 5 months and experienced this once recently. I have the charger setup to charge from 10pm-8am and have had no issues with overnight charging except about 2 weeks ago I came out in the morning and the car hadn't charged. I pushed the button next to the charger chord and then it started to charge, weird. I had not charged the car during the day and the Ford Pass app showed that it was going to start charging at 10pm that night so not sure what the cause was but hasn't done it since.
