MME GT Performance : Michelin CC2

Planning to switch from Bridgestone to Michelin CC2 tires. I live in Calgary and would expect moderate winter driving.
Any Suggestions/Comments on Michelin CrossClimate 2 ? Appreciate it.

What do you want out of your tire?
Performance? Noise? Comfort? Longevity? Wet/snow/dry traction? Fuel efficiency?

I would mainly want Wet/Snow traction with Winter coming soon. I dont want to keep switching my tires summer-winter.

Those tires work great for our needs here in the Seattle area, our area also has plenty of wet and snowy roads. They will reduce your range a little, but worth it for the improved safety. I have had those on several vehicles with no complaints.

I had CC2's on my rear wheel drive Tesla. They were quite good in snow/rain/slush, but definitely were a tad bit louder on the highway around 70-90 km/h, and range did go down. Wasn't a huge difference in range, maybe around 5-10% less.

They last forever though, and I never felt the need for a dedicated winter tire. I'm sure the heavier Mach-E GT with all wheel drive would be even better.

You might want to wait a while if you can. There are new CrossClimates on the way. The CrossClimate 3 and the Crossclimate 3 Sport. They are already available in Europe, so hopefully get across the pond soon.

Michelin hasn’t announced when CC3 will be available in North America. The CC2 is a good tire. I’d echo what @wherethelightis insofar as range and tire noise. From personal experience , the CC2 is fantastic in the snow and is good enough in the wet. I switch back to the stock Continental CrossContact RX in the summer though for more range and a quieter ride.

I really like the ride and handling of the CC2. Very reassuring grip and still pretty quiet. Over six months, I would estimate a range drop of 3-5 percent compared to original Michelin AS.

Did you ever consider a set of Nokian All Weather tyres? They are sold at Kal Tire in Calgary and you can drive them all year. They have the snowflake symbol so it’s certified for winter use. My favourite tire by far.
