MME Parking Assist Question

I know that the MME has a switch for parking assist as well as some settings on the display. Is this only a visual assist or does this thing actually park the car for you? Sorry guys for asking such a silly question but some times all of this new high tech is a little bit over whelming to an Old Coffer “Crumudgeny Old F….r”

I've had this feature in a few cars over the years and I have NEVER used it once. All of the videos I've seen of people using it just make me eye roll. In the amount of time it takes to slowly find the spot (if it finds it at all), then following all the prompts, I could have parallel parked 2 cars without it.

Likewise. I want to try it just for the novelty, but I always feel like it's a waste of time.
That big button on the console is always tempting me, though...

I always get upset at the Tesla’s taking up multiple spaces with parking between two cars that are parked a distance from each other. Yet it looks the safest way to try!

I've used it once for screwing around. Wanted to actually use it one time for actual parking and could not get the stupid thing to work, just did it myself.
