Wow, I had never thought of that possible issue. I hope the person you asked for input responds.
I’ve never noticed any glare or reflections. Maybe because only the seats are lighter, not the entire interior?

Dozens and dozens of threads about the roof. It does NOT increase the heat in the cabin. Touch it, put your hand next to it, yes, it's hot ("I told you not to touch that"). People in Arizona, Texas, Florida, Nevada - all say no shade is needed.

IMO, you should not buy any modern vehicle without clearly understanding your glass coverage. Some years ago, I switched to full glass coverage with zero deductible on my vehicles. I have gone through 3 windshields in let's say 15 years. That's the cost of ONE windshield or so, and I've gotten 2 more. Yes, glass roofs can break. And if the windshield has to be replaced, you have to get the tech recalibrated.
I have a choice between a Premium Mach-e in Molten Magenta with a black interior and a panoramic roof or a Molten Magenta with a Gray interior and no sunroof. My most important question is for those of you who have seen a Magenta with gray interior, how did it look to you? I've almost never gotten a black interior because of how hot they get. But these seats are ventilated. So maybe that would solve the heat problem. The dealer had a lot of Molten Magentas with black interior and none with gray. The one he offered me he would have to get from a other dealerr, whcih is why I didn't get to see it. I'm worried hat it's a possible issue that he had a lot in black and none in gray. Is it because no one actually likes the gray interior? So what do you all think about a molten Magenta with gray interior? Is it a beauty, or a dog?

I might as well add a second question. If I get the black interior it has the panoramic roof. Even though it was not nearly as hot out as it gets here there was still heat radiating from the glass. I know it blocks UV, but heat is still poring through it. I held my hand about steering wheel height and then raised it to close to the glass and the temp must have gone up at least ten degrees. I know AC would cool of the car, but what if I drive a long distance in 90+ degree heat. Is the AC going to be struggling all the way to keep the temp down, and how will that affect range? Most of you must have this roof. What do you all think? Is heat a problem? One final thought is - should I be worried about it being chipped by a flying stone, or cracking?

Thanks for your input.

Hi, I just bought the Molten Magenta with gray interior and I say it’s beautiful! I did not want black interior. It’s very sharp looking. I’ve had her about a month. I’ve had no issues with glare. Here are a couple of pictures

That looks really nice. If we get another Mach-E I will certainly be looking at getting these gray seats instead of black.

Another person mentioned that there was lot of reflection off of them on to the screen. Do you find that to be true?

I’m just going to comment about reflections on the screen with the space gray interior and I had none at all on my ‘21 Premium

I can't speak to the heat issue, but the cold does come through the glass roof here in Canada, making it harder to heat the car in winter and thus reducing winter range.

Thanks you all for your input. I chose to go with the gray interior and no glass roof. I LOVE the gray interior. Really happy with it. As for the glass roof, potential heat issues aside, I've driven in a car with out a glass roof all my life (except for a couple of GT convertibles many years back). So I saw no reason not to save the $1600. That plus finding a car from before the car price increases and the battery price increases saved me nearly $5K.
