When you close it, throw it down like you're bouncing a basketball or something. Close that shit like you mean it! I feel like closing it hard works better than gently closing it and having to press hard to get it to latch.
I'm LOLing at this (as the kids say), but it's so true! It seems like you have to really show that hood whose boss or it will fight you tooth and nail. Grab it and pull down with your good arm like you are throwing a major league fast ball.

Back when mine was new it needed to be spiked like a football touchdown celebration. Now it just requires a bit of a forceful flick of the wrist like a hard basketball dribble. ??

I actually did a quick vid how I adjusted it. I had challenges like you

Thank you for the video! I just adjusted it and It worked wonderfully. I had to turn them a lot to push it close with only one hand. 14, 15 turns CCW to lower them enough.. It's been more than three months, closing it only a few times because it's PIA. Now I can use the frunk more.

It can if you turn too much. Keep an eye on the lines.

Were the panel gaps affected at all? Thought about doing this, then thought it might 'break in'.

Glad to help ?

I think it's hilarious that we need a video to show us how to close a vehicle compartment... That's how I learned. Probably why all the Lightnings have powered frunks - too big and heavy to throw like a football.

And I don't know if the frunk gets any easier to close. I think we're just developing muscle memory and working on our form.

It shouldn't change the hood lines. You know why? Once the hood closed it should be at the same height before adjustment, unless you adjusted it one side more than another, and except there is no any pressure pushing the hood upwards when it closed.

I have found there is a super quick and easy way for me to easily close it without needing to slam it-with a technique. I have not adjusted any hood stops. (However, I really wish this was easier and optimally more like the F150 Lightning with a power open close).

Gently close the hood to the bottom position (that it normally opens to). Put one palm at the end of each of the ends of hood crease lines and thrust down with body weight. It works 99.9% of the time on the first try for me if I use TWO hands and about 20% of the time if I only use one hand in the center. Please note my wife is not quite tall and or strong and or heavy enough to do this unless she is standing on a curb/parking stop, so it may not work for everyone.

It only takes a second to do, but here is a 3 second video of the entire process including walking up, closing the hood and stepping away from the car.
