“Best of all, it’s a Cadillac”. ?????
It's funny, the wife and I were in the Poconos this weekend with a rented XT5. She said it was more bouncy and felt out of control compared to my GTPE

My wife complains about how hard my Mach E takes bumps and pot holes. Is this true for all Mach e cars. Are my shocks damaged? The Magne ride system does not seem to help with this. Anyone else have this problem
If you have mag ride, try the different drive modes- whisper will be the softest setting. That may help some.

You also can lower the tire pressure (36 psi) and that will help as well.

Those two things are about all you can do.

This car has a very low ride height which also means not a lot of suspension travel. It’s tuned to be more sporty……which is why the GTPE has one of the highest skidpad G forces of ANY SUV made when it came out in 2021. Only SUV higher at the time was the Lamborghini Urus.

But that handling comes at a price- stiffer ride.

My wife loves the 2024 MME Premium4x we just leased a month ago. One reason is because she thinks it rides better than did my 2017 Infiniti QX50. That said, our best friends recently rode in the back seat to a restaurant and back and were not impressed with the ride quality, finding that it did not absorb bumps very well, and least not from ‘back there’. Having driven a couple of 2021 cars, my own opinion is that the earlier pogo-ing or porpoising effect has been improved a lot, but the car’s ride quality is not great on less than perfect roads. I agree with others here emphasizing that these are heavy cars, which are notoriously difficult to design suspensions for, especially when you are trying to strike a compromise balancing handling and comfort. I am surprised to read though that the Magnaride suspension does not help with this…….

My hack is to have my partner drive more frequently. They experience the positive handing characteristics and complain less as a passenger, as a result.

No magnaride here. I occasionally read the after maker shock threads.

It's similar to the 4 other Mustangs I've had.

I'm old as dirt, but am quite satisfied with the ride in my 21 GTPE. We drive in whisper 99% of the time. Drove a Lyriq and it was a softer ride, but I much preferred the mach e, much better handling I thought. Yes my 17 F150 long box does ride better and of course the old DTS is hard to beat for soft ride, but as expected no comparison in handling.
