Hi I was on a roadtrip on Friday and I went to a v4 Tesla supercharger and I was only getting 10kw I was like okay let me try another stall. Same thing! I got really scared cause my car said service soon but I believe it was for the 30kmiles. I then drove about 15 miles to a 150kw ChargePoint station and It worked great! It worked flawlessly on my entire trip

Tesla SuperChargers are not immune to having hardware issues that limit output until fixed. They just tend to get fixed much faster than other DC Fast charge networks.

I saw a recent post where it took 3 different Tesla stalls. And, it was using a no-name adapter.

No charging isn't "freaking out".

the Tesla was a v4 so it had a built in adapter which I used and was only receiving 10kwh. It would have taken a couple of hours to charge my car. I then tried my Lectron adapter and same thing I was only recieveing 10kwh

Always check the location in PlugShare to see if it's been having issues.

Yeah I did. The only car that had a problem was a Chevy bolt. I even called Tesla and they said there superchargers were up and running fine.

I would normally ask what was you State Of Charge, but 10 KW is low unless you are over 95% charged.

I have had a couple less than stellar sessions on SuperChargers, but I was always able to charge.

Last session was the worst on the getting started stage, but no issue once running. I got an error (flashing red on all 5 indicators at the charge port) plugging in and no Plug & Charge. I tried two different V4 dispensers and both of my adapters (Ford Lectron and A2Z), but no joy. I activated through the car on the third dispenser using the official Ford Lectron adapter. This worked. My concern was the adapter not seating correctly with the V4 handle.

Since the issue was Plug & Charge, and this was the first time I had tried in Canada, I think being in Canada was the issue with P&C.

I recently was stuck at 10kw at an Electrify America fast charger. It generated a Service Vehicle Soon which turned out to be a bad cell in the high voltage battery. The SVS message did go away the next day, though I did still take it in and they replaced the bad cell. I don't know if a bad cell can start failing intermittently, but if so that's one possibility.

ok my mach e did say service soon when it was charging at 10kw and I thought I was going to be stranded. It did go away after I shutoff the vehicle for about 15minutes and drove to find a new charger. Im definitely going to have to take it to ford so they can take a look at it. better to be safe then sorry

I'm glad it worked out for you, for me after several times charging at a Tesla station the charger I was connected to experienced a fault, likely a surge or transformer failure, my MME has been bricked since Friday. Fordroadside service was super helpful for me, it was difficult to get onto the flatbed as the emergency tow mode was also disabled, Ford is sending someone from their engineering team to the dealer this week, I hope to have a decision on whether the car is repairable soon.

Saying your car only received 10 kWh instead of 10 kW completely changes the meaning of what you're trying to convey and depicts a very different problem.

What Supercharger were you trying to use?

I meant 10kw. I only received 1kwh during the 10minutes I used the stall.
