Anybody else feel like their speedometer isn't working properly? I'm barely accelerating and I'm already at 45 mph in a 30. It's really frustrating to have to slow down to this speed when it's clear my speedometer is the problem (plenty of sarcasm here). But for real, what's the over under on annual speeding tickets in this thing? Anybody already get pulled over?

I haven’t been pulled over yet, likely due to my fastidious use of intelligent cruise control. That said, I have had several police cruisers give me plenty of side eye like they want a closer look at it.

This is a big issue when passing folks on the highway. At those speeds in the Fiesta, I could mash the gas pedal all day long and not worry about overdoing it.

In the Mustang, I feel like I'm lightly pressing. Meanwhile I pass someone and think, "wow, they sure were nice and made that easy," and then my brain refocuses and I look at the speedometer and am like, Whoa, Nellie.

These horses have some serious, effortless adrenalin in them.

I like that the MME has a speed limit warning, but I wish you could turn on a sound for it to play when going a certain amount over the limit. The flashing in the instrument cluster isn't always going to get my attention.

Yup, my Mach E wants to run even more than my mustang coupe did - although it could be the fact that it does it so much more quietly that it just seems effortless. I enabled the fake engine sound and use unbridled, but I still often have the "oh crap" reaction when I look down.

I sure hope we don't get an entire new post for this "complaint," but that speed limit warning needs a threshold upper limit somewhere north of 5. Five above the posted limit is the minimum safe speed on our freeways, sadly.

Dragy GPS speed counter, it’s certified fast :)

I didn’t get a great punch either, so not bad at all. The 1 foot lead counter is ideal for the MME due to the way it engages.

The 0-60 is a fair bit slower than the time Ford published. Any variables in your test that would account for that or is Ford just overly optimistic?

I wholeheartedly agree. What are they trying to tell us when they don't let us get warned for more than 5mph over the limit but they let us set the Intelligent Cruise Control for 19mph over the limit? Ford must be trying to get us in trouble.

Whisper and engaged are for little old ladies driving to church on sunday :p
Yep. I drive like a little old lady. Yet on the day I took delivery I drove through a residential section posted at 35 MPH. I looked at speedometer, and it indicated 85 MPH. Since this couldn't possibly be my fault, it's obvious that my speedometer is broken. Out of concern for peacekeepers with obviously broken radar guns, I hit the brakes until it showed 40 MPH.

5.6 (1 foot lead) but I was on a slight incline and I think you have to disable traction control to achieve maximum time. Was just playing with it. I still have to find a flat straight away so I can do multiple tests with.

Haven't been pulled over yet, but I fear its going to happen sooner or later...? Way to often I think I'm cruising along at a reasonable speed and glace down to see I'm doing over 70 in a 45...Hopefully I can get out of a few tickets by showing them around the car. ?
