I've had our MME now for six months, have done 8,000km, and am loving it. But I noticed a few things about the navigation system that I'd like to be able to change:
- When you enter a new destination, it always lectures me about obeying traffic rules and paying attention. Is there any way to turn this off? It's so annoying once you've heard it dozens of times.
- When I'm driving, I like that it regularly shows me alternative routes (in lighter blue), with how much longer they'll take. But sometimes it gives a negative number of minutes for the alternative route, suggesting it will be quicker. So why doesn't it make that the main route? (I have "Faster Time" selected, so it's not that!)
- There's one particular highway, the QEW, that everyone in Southern Ontario hates because it's always gummed up with traffic. Turns out my navigation system hates it too, as it tries to direct me to nearly every off-ramp available. But if I ignore it and stay on the QEW, when I pass the exit ramp my trip time *always* then goes down by a few minutes. Any idea what's up with that?
- When we first got the car, I could set up a trip destination in the Ford App before setting out, and send this to the car. That option seems to have disappeared from the App. Any idea why? Will we be getting it back?
