Sorry if this was already discussed but couldn't find anything about it. After a recent update allowing to plug and charge at Tesla Superchargers, I noticed that the supercharger stations are now populating in my Charge Assist/Public Charging app in the car. However when searching for a charger directly in Ford navigation screen, I am not seeing the tesla superchargers. Additionally, I am not sure if I have a destination programmed in Ford Navigation, if it will direct me to tesla chargers if they are closer to my route than others. Any insight?

You are correct, Superchargers are not yet in Navigation. And it will not direct you to a Supercharger.

Is this something planned in future?

A little cumbersome, but if you type in the street address of the SuperCharger as your Ford Nav destination, and then select "Nearby chargers" and pick an EA or any DCFC, you will get all the preconditioning magic to use at the SuperCharger. Of course first you need another app telling you which SuperChargers support magic dock/ NACS adapter in the area you're heading to.

If you use Ford navigation on trips to let it select and add charging stops it will _not_ currently add Tesla charging stops.

The "Public Charging" app can find them and if you are already on a trip (via Ford navigation) and tell Public Charging to go to that charger you'll be asked if you want to add it as a waypoint. That part DOES work but there's a catch .... it just gets added as a normal waypoint and NOT as a charging stop. It's not a big deal but it does mean that it wont pre-condition the car.

What I do is let it add the non-Tesla charging stops, the search for a nearby Tesla charger and manually add that (without deleting the non-Tesla charger). This means the car will start the precondition and just go straight to the Tesla stop -- ignore the non-Tesla stop.

At some point it will start to add the Tesla stops and recognize them as chargers ... but for now there are still cars that don't have the adapter or possibly don't even have the software update so not all cars can use those stations.

Of course as temps go up, preconditioning isn't really a thing.

Still no Plug and Charge update for Tesla Superchargers.
Still no Charge Assist or Public Charging apps at all in my car
Still no Tesla Superchargers showing in Navigation

Ford moves at the pace of the US government.

On a recent road trip I had issues actually locating compatible Tesla Superchargers. The Tesla app does not give any addresses for the charger locations. The app has no nagivation to them either since it obviously assumes everyone using the app has a Tesla with the Tesla nav screen in their car. I basically had to use Tesla app to locate chargers then try to match up the block of the city on Ford Nav app in car. Then drive around randomly looking for them in the area once I arrived. What a nightmare.

Ford nav is horrible at adding chargers. Not sure how it picks them. I use a abrp and plug share. Some of the chargers don't even show up. I tried using nav for EA charger I knew was there. Could not find it anywhere. Of course charge assit is not very assisting while driving. Trying to use Ford nav to find chargers is a real task, especially while driving.

Did you scroll down?

The Tesla app does include an address and if clicked will launch the default maps program in your phone.

It’s strange they can’t just port over the chargers shown in the FordPass app. Tesla Superchargers are all shown, and you can filter by which ones are available to Ford owners. Not sure why the car information lags so far behind.

I do see the Tesla Superchargers in my car when I use Charge Assist. (Still called Charge Assist in my car) From there, I can click on the "navigate to" button. I did have to change the filter settings by turning off all the network choices, at which point it then shows you all networks. That's when the Tesla Surperchargers showed up. And it does show NACS stations, and the "Adapter Required" note. However, as others have said, just in the built-in Nav - it does not show superchargers.

How can this be so far behind? It's not like it was a surprise to Ford. The announcement of supporting Superchargers was 1 year ago. And Ford even updated the initial count of 12,000 to 15,000 some months later. It's clear that Rivian was able to add them. And I've seen other new EA and EVgo stations get added pretty quick to the Ford nav system. In fact I found one new EVgo station show up in the Ford nav before Google Maps.

There must be something else going on other than simply adding the stations. Maybe it will become clear later why it's taking so long.

It sure would be nice to have the compatible Superchargers added before summer travels, not to mention the BC 1.3+ update.
