Ford Mustang Mach-E Need you help, advice and opinion, please. D727B365-6B51-40A5-B1E5-726B9E147B59

I’m a 47 year old who is trying to relive his youth. My first car was a 5.0 fox body Mustang. Subsequent to selling that I went through decades of mini vans and being a family man.

Fast forward and I’m back in the game.

We purchased a Star White MME and first change was the wheels. Super happy with them.

I’d love to do a little more but I don’t want to overdo it and I certainly don’t want to look like mid-life crisis guy trying too hard.

Having said that I love to honour the Mustang heritage a little and stripes seem to be a way to do that. Now, with the white, blue is traditionally the colour. I think it may be too much. I was thinking of adding ghost stripes. Perhaps a pearlescent on the hood/top/rear. Something you could see at the right angles but nothing too in your face.

since blue usually goes with white, I was thinking of sky blue calipers.

I would really welcome your thoughts. More importantly. Is this overkill? Am I being silly? I don’t want to be snickered at.

Sounds like a perfectly sensible plan to me!

I love ghost stripes, but they are tricky to get “just right”, visible enough, but not obvious. 95+% of people won’t even notice, so I wouldn’t worry getting laughed at. It is a decent amount of $ for a very subtle look. Only you can decide if that is the right call for you. Brake calipers will be more noticeable, but I’d still guess 80% of people won’t notice unless you do something like neon pink.
In both cases, it’s not like you’re putting a chrome wrap on the car…

Sounds like you have already done a pretty good job of weighing the options for yourself. My opinion is that it’s your car and you should do it up the way you want it.

Thanks everyone for chiming in so far. These are the mock-ups that I have developed and the caliper colours. I'm aiming for the teal blue (sky blue). Again, thoughts are welcomed! Have a great weekend, all.

Looks nice. I think red or yellow calipers look best.

I like the stripe. The deeper blue calipers get my vote.

Ford Blue on the calipers. Subtle stripes win the day at nearly 50.

50 and over.....Arrest-me-red stripes all the way.
