Looks like Ford has another new HVBJB part number that is available at least for older cars that need a replacement.

My ‘22 GT threw the dreaded “Stop Safely Now” in the parking lot of my office and wouldn’t move. Luckily I was in a safe place and it was easy for the tow truck to get in and tow the car to the dealership. Communication from the dealership was less than stellar but looks like they are going to be able to fix it relatively quickly by replacing the HVBJB.

The dealer provided the new HVBJB part number as RK9Z-10C666-A. I searched the forum and hadn’t seen anyone post about it yet. Per the ford parts website this replaces the older LK9Z-10C666-A/B/C that a lot of folks have noted went into their replacements. Interestingly, the Ford website notes this part is compatible with 2021-2025 model years, but NOT 2026.

I have no idea the technical differences of the updated part, let’s just hope it’s a more robust solution as seems like all previous versions still have susceptible to failures.

As I recall, the GT/GTPE got a different HVBJB than the other models?

Did you have your HVBJB previously replaced, or was this the original that failed? Do you know the part number of your HVBJB that failed?

This is the first failure I have had. The dealership wasn’t able to confirm the failed part number yet but based on previous posts I believe I had LK9Z-10C666-B because my car was built in June/July of 2022.
