I reset my old phone to the factory settings, but when I tried to add my new phone to the vehicle it said I already had a startup passcode that matched the one I tried to use. So, I know I need to delete the phone from the car somehow. Does anyone know how to do this?

Actually, if that's the passcode you want to use, you don't need to delete the old phone (which couldn't connect if it tried since all the connections are deleted on the phone).

Simply setup a new phone, setup PaaK if you want to, then decline to do the passcode. You cannot have multiple passcodes that are identical. And you only need one unless for some reason you don't want another driver to know yours.

Go to Ford Pass, vehicle tab, features and settings, PaaK settings and delete the other phone.
Thanks for this. There is a remove phone option in the settings in the car where the phones attached to the car are listed. It is specific to each phone. But I tried multiple times to remove my old phone this way but it did not work. But it did work by using the Ford Pass app. Not intuitive though where this would be in the Ford Pass App - so again thanks for the information,

I didn’t bother. I backed up my old iPhone with an encrypted backup and restored the encrypted backup to my new one. No muss, no fuss. In the future, remember to do this before you reset your old phone. Your new phone will look exactly like your old one unless something is looking for it’s specific MAC address (unlikely). ??
