Hi Guys!

Finally picked up my MME on Sunday...nearly 7 months to the day after ordering.

Two things I can't seem to find an answer to online. Sorry in advance if they've been asked and answered and I'm just sucky at finding the thread the answers are in.

1) Every now and then, it seems like my car's parking lights will NOT turn off, even if I've locked the car. I parked the car in the garage, was in the house for a bit, and when I opened up the garage door about 5-10 mins later, the parking lights were still on. Waited some more and no change. I was only able to get them off by turning my lights off instead of leaving them on automatic. Is there a feature setting that I'm missing?

2) Every time I start up the car, I get the Mach E start up screen/music, but I also get a series of about 4 beeps. Is this part of the start up process as well? I like the start up music but hate the beeps. Can I get one without the other?

Thanks, guys1

Headlight switch bug. Known, no fix yet.

Workaround- turn your light switch back to auto.

Hello, with regards to the parking lights, I noticed the same thing with my car parked in the garage. We picked up our new 2022 last Friday. I remembered that the car has "welcome lighting" activated. If the remote is sensed by the car, then the welcome lights come on and I believe stay on until the remote is no longer sensed. I moved my remote a few feet further away from the car and they turned off via the normal time delay.

I have only heard of that causing the full headlight array to stay on, not just the parking lights. I think @Howard is on the right track with welcome lighting.
@MRyan7465 can you record the sounds you hear on start up? That would help identify them.

Agree.
Had it happen once or twice in 43k miles. The solution was to turn the highlight switch to some other position and then back to Auto. That seemed to do the trick.

The video sounds like the driver's seatbelt is not buckled. It also looks like the seatbelt icon in the IPC with a 0, which means driver unbuckled. Do you buckle your seatbelt prior to pushing the Start button?

Now that you say that, I don’t think I do.
Think I turn on the car and then buckle while the beeps are sounding. Guess I’ll start changing my (poor) habits!

Yup.

Most of the beeps are a warning of some kind.

Headlights on, door open, seatbelt unbuckled etc.

I like those beeps much better than other cars noises.

Buckle your seat belt before turning on the car.
