Hope someone has a helpful idea... While I've had the 12V battery fault for 3+ months, with a 12V battery on backorder that will never come, in the past 2 weeks my AUDIO SYSTEM WON'T MAKE A SOUND other than the aggressive door dings if a door is open. No audio from FM, AM, Bluetooth, CarPlay, nothing. When I turn the volume knob, the Volume overlay and numerical volume level do not show onscreen anymore. The center touchscreen still works for all car controls, and Bluetooth and CarPlay do connect to the phone, but then no audio, ever.

The dealer thinks (guesses?) that the 12V battery fault is causing the system to save power on lower priority systems like the sound system, but I'm not sure. I went probably 60-75 days with both the battery fault and the sound system working normally, and now at least 14 days with no sound. Getting very frustrated. Any idea about a specific reset or maintenance step that could be done?

Try a battery disconnect first, then DSP update if still stuck.

I had that audio loss happed to my MME. But it solved after a system reset. I also had the driver side window controls not responding, issue lasted a day. Feels like it has some software glitches. But like most “computers” it seems to fix after a reboot.

Yes was thinking the same about a reboot. I did the reset of the Sync system (probably 5 times total) where you hold the two buttons on the right side of the steering wheel and then the screen restarts, but it didn't bring the audio back. Is that the reset you did, or something different?

I remember that both issues I had I did a restart, turned off the car, let it sit for a few minutes, tested again and it worked.

Hi there. Can you send us a message with your VIN and Ford dealership name? I’ll look into this on my end. Thank you!

Thanks, the Ford account requested details from me a few hours ago which I sent via private "conversation" here. Emily responded to that message asking for additional contact information, which I provided. So her inquiry has started, thanks.

Shoot! Ford motor can I get someone to help me to? Have contacted 3 dealerships, no one helps. For a car I paid 5k mark up on that came with 2 small dents ? (they had passenger door open to hide them, I thought they were just letting me inspect inside!!)

My sound went off 3 months ago, my cruise controll will randomly turn on in a parking lot with 1 pedal activated which makes it dangerous. It randomly rolls down driver window when I'm rolling down a back window.

Once again I've been phone tag and even taken in to 2 dealerships and they always tell me it will be months.

I love the car but for the money and lack of help from the blue, I've actually steered a few onlookers from buying it. Just because the service.

I even emailed Ford after a phone call to explain all issues and never even got a response from the customer service.

Ca RT 1, 15k miles.

Sorry for posting my issue on thread!

Yikes, sounds like you need several software updates at least. Has your audio stayed off for all 3 months?

I just left mine at the dealer service area and hoping that next week 49737, 21G01 or one of the updates will bring back my sound, and maybe solve the 12V battery fault If I’m lucky.

I had this happen to my car twice it was solved by discounting the 12v and killing all power to the system. Sound return afterwards and all was good. I had a the dsp update applied later along with the first big software update at the dealer and it has not been as issue since.

Thanks, hoping for the same here, to be done this week.

Dealer won't give me a loaner so I'm kinda screwed I sold my other car 3 months after getting this.

Audio 100% silent now going on 3+ month.

Extremely frustrating.
