2025 has a frunk. I want to see what it looks like without the frunk.
Yeppers. I have one, I know. My point was the frunk will look identical and the “non frunk” option is going to have one big plastic molding covering it all except for the fluid access and battery panel.

Sounds like this model is played out for awhile. Reshuffling packages, charging ppl more for things that were standard, throwing out some decal window dressing. This combined with the Lightning slow down is really the signs for me that Ford ain’t doing much more in the EV space until their new factory, mid-size truck stuff comes out.

Time to hang onto what ya got and/or look elsewhere in the near term I guess.

I mean yes. They aren’t going to come out with a whole new car based on old technology at this point when the new platform which should reduce cost and increase efficiency is just around the corner. Easier to just stretch it out for a couple more years, especially with the very anti-EV stance and constantly fluctuating tariff policies under the current administration.

I wouldn't put it past them to have a plastic covering over the whole thing for the "non frunk" but just think about the stupidity of that. "You want your big plastic piece to be a different shape? Give use $500."

But of course, the idea is to get more money out of the customer, and for 99% of the cars it will work.

How to identify the modelyear using the VIN. I know how to identify the Build year. But this is i believe not identicalnwith the modelyer. My dealer tells me that he already has a my26 in the showroom. That can not be or?

I had a 2021 Premium ER and now a 2023, and I often use every inch of the frunk on trips to and from my 2nd place in Utah. Ford cuts the Frunk size by 40% and then decides to charge for the "privilege". They just made my decision as to whether to buy new or the 2023 at the lease end. Mobile cord $500, Frunk at least $500, Options on the GT that used to be standard, but no upgrades to the battery pack or the charging architecture (still 150) indicates (to me) that the Mach E is headed in the wrong direction. My guess is that the brain trust in Dearborn's next move will be to go back to a time when the 'radio', heater and sideview mirrors were optional equipment

After over four years I haven't used the frunk once.
I keep charging stuff in there: NACS Supercharger adapter, NACS AC adapter, portable AC charger, etc. Easier than digging it out of the trunk, especially if on a road trip with luggage.

I would expect lots of dealers to order without it.

I would like to see it without frunk and without any plastic cover. I think that's what people are wondering if it will be just pipes wires hoses etc.

And then if you could put a few support braces and a flat bottom that would fit a certain size cooler or duffel bag secured with straps or bungy cords in there instead of the big plastic piece.

A psuedo-frunk lol

But someone won't have a cooler or duffel bag and just put a 12 pack of coke unsecured which breaks open on a bump and gums up the works. So Ford can't have a "no-plastic-non-frunk" option. Thanks a lot guys
