No Frunk for 2026?

Aside from food, the frunk is incredibly useful for the kids' sports gear and fold-up chairs. Things that can live in the car but we don't use all the time.

Lack of a frunk wouldn't be a deal breaker but certainly would be a big con in cross shopping vehicles.

Wet swim gear after a morning at the beach. Hose off yourself, change and toss all the wet sandy stuff in the frunk. Hose all the sand and stuff out when you get home. Frunks rock.

I was frunk addicted before I got my 2023.5 Mach-E.

Grocery Frunks have been around for decades. I will never give up my P-toy. (It's actually a bit larger than my full sized Mach-E Frunk for some objects, but not as wide)

I had the same car! Best frunk I've ever had by far. Except for that time I dropped an Arizona Iced Tea and it exploded all over the carpet. That thing was deep!

I'll be curious to see what it looks like under the front lid without the frunk.

My first EV was a Bolt (LG) EV, and there were occasionally times I appreciated the access. (Testing inverter for emergency power output.)

I've occasionally found myself thinking that there were things about the Mach-E that reminded me of a fleet Taurus. One of those things is that the Mach-E is a little big on the outside considering the compact space on the inside.

If Ford starts thinking that people don't always want a front trunk, maybe a shorter, smaller car could be offered. Same size inside, but nice performance, easier to park, more efficient and dynamic handling.

Don't kill me. Just an idea.

Ok but when do they really change? I have a 2023.75 build 31.10.23. after 23.75 should be 24.0 that was changed 1.12.23. Was that already 24? These should have then as well P until 1.1.24. or am i wrong?

Just yesterday I put groceries I picked up over lunch in the frunk of my Mach-E. It is now cold enough outside to do so. Even if I warm up the interior of the car to run errands after work, the frunk is not heated so the food stays cold. For me no frunk is a bit of a deal breaker.

The change is for all orders going forward. My 2025 order from November just got rolled into the 2026 model year and the frunk was an option. Without the frunk you'll just see the 12v battery, heat pump, front engine etc. It essentially eliminates the entire vanity cover of the front hood. I opted to eliminate it (default) since I'd rather have easy access to the 12v / etc than the tiny 2025/2026 frunk.

I've been seriously considering moving from the Premium all-wheel drive to a GT or Rally for the magneride suspension and I may just try to find a used 2024 to keep the big frunk. If only I could get the column shift and a big frunk.

Billionaires are buying up the place. It was California expensive when we first moved here. Now even Californians selling their houses nope out of here.

Current frunk status:
Bag of Gym clothes/sneakers
Bag of cleaning products
Two thin moving blankets
Two Insulated bags for Aldi/shopping
Hoodie
Hat
Charging adapter

I suspect the small frunk might have trouble just holding my gym bag. Some of this could go under the rear sub floor but not all I've got stuff there already. The frunk is what allows me to have a change interior and rear hatch area that has nothing extra rolling around while I drive.
