Hey guys, I'm new here. I picked up my space white 4XE MME a couple of weeks ago.

I have a couple of questions. First, unlike other Fords that use the same shifter, there is no stop when I reach park or drive. The shifter just keeps rotating. Is that normal?

Also, while I am asking, is anyone else having issues with bluetooth audio constantly cutting in and out and losing connection. I tried android auto but the audio quality was so bad it was unusable.

I wanted to ask before running to the dealer.

Thanks

The spin is normal; it has to do with the park assist shifting from R to D back to R for parallel parking without moving the knob. The car can only make 1 connection - so either AA or bluetooth. I have listened to a lot of podcasts over AA with no issue but not music so it may just not be noticeable without a soundtrack. Maybe try putting the phone on the charging pad; could be that your leg is blocking the bluetooth just enough?

Thanks for letting me know about the shifter.

I usually leave my phone next to the charging pad so I don't think that's it. I listen to audio books not music so I am not that picky about perfect sound quality. The BT will disconnect and reconnect several times while driving and the sound will cut out for a second at a time every few minutes. AA just sounds terrible and cuts in and out more than BT. I thought it might be my phone but I have an S20 and don't have these problems with any of my other cars. So I am not sure what is going on.

Maybe it's a bad antenna in the car.

As others said, the shifter operation is normal. I had a similar issue with BT, running AA. I don't use BT or wireless AA anymore, just plug in via USB.

Its normal on the Mach-E. You don't have to look down or away to see you are putting it in Drive, just spin that puppy clockwise and you know you are in Drive. Same for Park with a cool counterclockwise spin of the dial. You know what is really nice? When you are stopped and ready to turn the car off, no need to put it in park first; just turn her off and it automatically goes into Park.

Yep, the wireless AA while streaming music gets choppy after a short while. I like the AA features, so to compensate, I plug in via USB and skip the wireless part. Youtube music plays like a champ. My phone is Samsung 20 FE edition. I suspect there is a remedy, but I have not figured it out yet.

Thanks Jimmy. I know as a, relatively, new adopter on the ME, there will be glitches. I am prepared for it. I think it would bother me more if this was my only car. My wife and I are going to share the ME and each of us has an ICE vehicle. I am sure if I don't have an isolated issue, Ford will eventually address it.

Thanks for the tip on turning off the car without putting it into park. So far, I have remembered to put it in park but start to get out before I realize I forgot to turn the car off. The lack of noise and the fact that my Volvo turns itself off automatically makes me forget.
