Hello all,

New member to the forum and I am looking for some of your collective wisdoms. I have a '21 Mach-E Premium RWDS with an 09/20 build date. I am not the original owner as I got the vehicle about 3 months ago with ~13k miles. BlueCruise has not worked since I have had the vehicle nor have I received any OTA updates for my almost definitely out-of-date Sync system.

Ford Mustang Mach-E No Sync Update Shown in FDRS Sync_Revision

About a month ago, I called the Ford OTA Dept. and they basically said there are a few TSBs stopping the updates from happening on my vehicle. Essentially, I was told I am SOL for the foreseeable future. So, as the impatient person I am that likes to have every available piece of tech, I decided to go the FDRS route... To make a long story short, there was a number of software updates that I applied between last night and this afternoon but nothing related to APIM, TCU, or GWM nor any that seemed to do anything for BlueCruise or update Sync. Additionally, I drove the vehicle for an hour or so prior to my update session this afternoon... As of the time of this email, there are currently no updates shown in FDRS.

At this point, I am not sure what else to do. Any guidance for BC or Sync Update would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Wait longer. GWM, APIM and TCU have not been scheduled for your VIN yet.

Well, that’s rather disappointing. I’ve read that some have had success calling Ford OTA to get updates pushed. Is there any truth to that?

No that’s a bunch of hogwash. Ford general customer service is as useless as a Kolkata scammer call center.

Your car gets OTAs based upon module readiness, or release schedule by Ford.

Your car seems to be a special case. Perhaps Ford's database is messed up, but see no record of any software updates ever being done?!, including the recall update. Today's updates are not showing up for some reason. Can you list everything you updated?

When you finished updates, did you remember to clear all the codes and retest? If any error codes come up that don't clear, you should address them.

I thinking because you're so far behind on updates, it might take a few days for the servers to register what you have and show you additional updates. Check in FDRS again on Monday. Do not do any updates tonight or Sunday during the server maintenance window.

I hope you are using a good quality scan tool like a Mongoose and not that cheap VXDiag VCX Nano which can corrupt your software versions on the FDRS servers and cause additional issues.

I am trying to pull the record from yesterday in FDRS but it seems to be going very slow... Here is what I can remember but the order is probably incorrect.

Yesterday:
PCM
BCM
OBCC
DSM
GSM
DSP
SOBDM (Failed twice and gave up)
BECM (Failed twice and gave up)

Today:
PSCM (Was not in the list yesterday)
SOBDM (Retried and succeeded on first try)
BECM (Retried and succeeded on first try)

At the end of both sessions, I did a self test, cleared all CMDTC's, and did a re-test to confirm clear.

As for the scan tool, I am using the Mongoose-Plus.

I only bought a 2-day FDRS license. I will wait about a few extra days, maybe a week, and will post a request in the look-up thread.

Thanks!

EDIT: Added a software update
