NOT RECEIVING TEXTS

When I first got my GT, incoming texts would show up and I could ignore or speak answers. For the past few ,months now, texts do not show up at all. My phone dings once, as usual, but nothing shows on the screen. What am I doing wrong?

Have you checked your settings to see if your text notifications are still enabled? Wondering if an update somehow unchecked that box.

Thanks a lot, Scotty. I checked all the settings and they are on, so I turned them off and then back on. Even the pre-recorded responses are there. I'll see if that solved the issue.
