I use Android Auto while in the Mach-E, which has been great so far. When I get a notification from my phone it plays through my speakers and scares me half to death because of the volume. It seems to be 2 or 3x louder than the volume my radio is set to. Is there an option to turn down the notification sounds coming through the car audio? I turned the notification sound down on my cell phone, but that didn't help.

If the notification sound setting didn't work, you can try and adjust the volume while the sound is playing to adjust the volume of just the notification. I know it works like this for navigation voice volume.
Thanks! I'll give it a shot when I'm back in the car.

Had same issue some time back but in reverse. Couldn’t hear it. Prompt Volume. As noted above, turn dial while it’s speaking. You’ll see Prompt Volume above dial appear when turning.

Problem is the notification sound only happens for an instant, (IE when a text message comes in) kind of tough to adjust that fast. I'm having the same issue. Tried the same as OP.

Send yourself something that triggers a notification, and have your finger on the volume button...

Yeah. Or if using CarPlay or perhaps Android auto, go to text messages and select one from car. It’ll read out to you. Repeat as necessary.

Yep. This happens with Android Auto and with Car Play and can result in alert volumes that are too high or too low. Act fast when an alert is playing and you can set it to Goldilocks.
