I got mine 2-weeks ago. It has solved at least one problem I was having: the touch-lock on the doors wasn't working reliably. It is now 100% reliable. Pretty happy with that.

Got this today.

I received this OTA last night and it failed to complete causing me to get the "Stop safely now" warning. Tried all of the tricks and couldn't get it to successfully to start. Waiting on Ford Roadside to tow it to my dealership. Worst timing for the holiday weekend.

There are three ways to open the trunk that I know of:

1. Press the physical button on the liftgate.
2. Tap into settings on the infotainment screen and hunt for the little trunk button nested within the drive modes.
3. Pull my phone out of my pocket, open the Ford app, tap into “remote controls” and find the trunk button.

All are a much bigger pain in the ass than they should be when I’m sitting in my car at my son’s soccer game, or friend’s house, or school, or myriad other situations and I hear “dad pop the trunk.”

What I used to do, with literally every other car I’ve ever owned, is reach over and hit the trunk button at my left knee. But @Ford Motor Company decided in its infinite wisdom that this ought to be replaced with a max defrost button, even though that’s already included on the infotainment Home Screen.

And @Ford Motor Company could very easily fix this by adding the trunk button to top ribbon of the Home Screen, or allow custom pinning of a few features to that top ribbon, but @Ford Motor Company never will. For no reason what so darned ever.

Ford could also fix the app by making a he climate button slightly smaller and moving the frunk and trunk buttons out of a submenu to the main screen.

Hey, thanks, I will! And by the way you forgot one way to open the trunk, at least in my car, which is to kick under the license plate. But then you'd have to get out of your seat.
