My ‘22 CA RT1 was a victim of a smash and grab (except they didn’t grab anything important). The passenger side rear door window was smashed, and I had a local glass shop replace the pane before I went on a road trip. This week I had time to inspect the replacement window and I see that the new window has a different Ford Engineering code than the OEM window on the driver side. See the Photos:
Passenger side (replacement OEM) window code LJ8B-R25712-AC
Driver side (original OEM) window, code LJ8B-R25713-AC
note: the driver side door window above has an additional layer of window tint behind the OEM window tint, so it appears darker. .
What seems suspect to me is the new OEM replacement window has a “ 1 • “ code at the bottom of the trademark message vs. “2 ••••••” code on the original OEM window. Did the glass shop get a lower grade window for my Mach-E?
