If it is only superficial it may not be that bad although sensors will also need replacement. But what may have been damaged that is unseen and how long to get parts is another story! Also can’t tell if hatch alignment is affected.

I had a similar rear end collision earlier this year when somebody hit my unoccupied GT in a parking lot. New bumper cover, new quarter panel, new tail light, other patch and paint repairs. No sensors were damaged and the lift gate was not replaced. The total repair cost was $3800 and I also received an $1100 diminished value claim. It took about 7 weeks for the parts to come in. Ours did have damaged sensors and I guess a new hatch I think, still about one week in they are looking good except a couple sensors that are holding things up. Looking about $8000 I think. I need to figure out if there is diminished value in Missouri.
