No VIN nor built date. Yes i've send them emails cause actually I think you cannot go to a dealer unless you have a schedule rendez-vous. But I plan to go there next week no matter what. The thing is that with all the rescheduling Ford has been doing lately they didn't seem to have announce any new build dates recently, have they?
He told me when I come into the office; extended etc. I told him all electronic; I can sign PDF. I think if we have the tech it is time to chill and be smart for a bit. I thought 2020 sounded cool, futuristic, about this time last year, looking for a battery scooter, bit of different take away. All the best to you also and everyone here for a good new year.

I am just waiting for my dealer to call me to let me know they received their demo MME so we can do a test drive!

Then I will ask about a VIN....

Jim
Hopefully in a few more weeks

I cannot pull that up as mine was ordered through the dealer. I can only go by www.macheforum.com/site/pages/tracker that states in production with the 12/4 date at the bottom of the window sticker which matches the date that the dealer gave me
Oh, bottom of the window sticker -- that seems to be the date the sticker was accessed. What does VINTracker tell you? Is there a production date yet?

Not the person you're asking but similar situation and location. I now have a production date showing up on fordtracker.com which didn't show up yesterday. Not even sure it showed up this morning. The date shows as today: 2020-12-10.

Honestly no. My original date was 11/27 from my email from Ford. The inventory manager said that was Monday and cars are made all week. My specific day was 12/4.
I had the same build week as you and in roughly the same delivery location. Yesterday the build date wasn't there and today on Fordtracker.com I now have a build date of today. Have you looked there? If it's there then you have a build date. If not you will almost certainly have one very soon.

funny think is I emailed the inventory manager last week. Nothing back. I have no problem waiting if I had an update. One week of IN PRODUCTION sounds like crap.
It may be mostly done and waiting for a part. One complication of "just in time" inventory system is what it does to a car going down the line ... when a needed part isn't available. (Especially during the pandemic when some suppliers are struggling to get parts produced and shipped on time.)

When I was at the Rouge plant (F-150's) they had a bunch of trucks off to one side. The story on those was an inventory problem. The window on the back of the cab can either be a solid window (non-opening) or it can be a window that can slide open. They ran out of the windows that slide open (train didn't arrive on time). So they produce the vehicles anyway... and just leave the window out. Trucks that had solid windows were built (they had enough of those).

Once the train arrived with the missing windows... they had to manually install them. But this didn't happen the same day the trucks were produced.

This is just pure conjecture on my part ... but it occurs to me that if a car is "in production" too long... it may be waiting on a missing part before it can be completed.
