Has anyone observed that when One pedal drive is engaged and the vehicle is about to come to complete stop, there is a jerk that rocks the vehicle front and back ?

I am seeing it on my 2021 Premium AWD vehicle, every single time when 1PD is stopping the vehicle.
I just spent 2 hours driving a 2023 Rt 1 through LA traffic and I just want to say you are not crazy Wattup, and this is still not fixed in 2023. My observation about 1-pedal driving is that the final half MPH of deceleration, even as the speedometer shows transitioning from 1 to 0 (maybe 1 kph if the underlying architecture is metric), it feels like the friction brakes are suddenly activated to bring you to a complete stop. (I might need to test again with auto hold disabled.)

Regen typically can't bring a car to a complete stop, as the motors don't harvest energy as effectively at low RPM, so it's understandable that they would blend in friction braking for the last mph or two. But they way they do it is unrefined. Ford's tuning of the deceleration process, and coming to a complete stop is not perfect.

Despite keeping my foot lightly on the pedal, the car "jerks" to a stop in a way that loads up the front suspension a little and gives you that faint feeling of whiplash like when your kid is learning to drive. I distinctly recall pulling my foot off the pedal after coming to a stop and noting that there was still more travel and I had not fully let off. I tried slowing down much earlier at a red light so that I could take my time modulating the pedal as I crept to a red light, and nothing could fix this.

From what I've experienced in Tesla's, and what I've heard about Hyundai/Kia, this is a solved problem. Either apply brakes more gently, or spend a couple watts to power the motor in reverse just a tiny bit to fully neutralize your velocity before holding position with brakes. They do genuinely pull off the "limo stop" without jerk.

My '21 Premium AWD has that "reverse" jerk/hop when it's trying to come to a stop going down hill. Personally, I think it's an operator error in that I probably expect too much of 1PD and should give it a little assistance with the brake pedal. The jerk/hop is the same as when I back out of the garage and shift too fast into park, i.e., before it's stopped completely. ?
