One Pedal Drive- Reason for Concern?

So did I, and while doing so I learned to slow down by downshifting and using the engine unless it was an emergency braking or a complete stop. I guess the muscle memory is still there, and it didn't take long to get very confident with 1PD. But I still use 2PD for backing out, and I wouldn't bother to teach my wife 1PD. For some people, it's better to stick to what they know and get used to, and it's perfectly fine.

so I will caveat - I have only test driven the MME but with my e-Golf in regen similar to 1PD: engaged, that seems more like a regular auto to me. With it off it reminds me of the manual with clutch popped in coasting. Maybe I will see the difference when I get a chance to drive the MME more.

iPD is like, some folks love it and some don't. I never use 1PD because I like the feel of the car feeling like a regular car that I have been driving for decades. So don't worry about it, you are not the only one who is not comfortable with 1PD. Enjoy the vehicle the way you personally like to drive.

I exclusively use 1PD, my wife refuses to use it. I only did this twice very early on and only in reverse. Presumably, I was used to going in reverse by covering the brake so my initial instinct was to depress the pedal to stop. Luckily, I never hit anything, and now it is second nature. I’m not sure I understand why you‘re instinctively pressing the go pedal to stop, but I agree with others, best to turn it off.

I find one pedal driving much easier and more pleasant than two pedal. This doesn’t seem to be the case for you so as many before have commented, it’s easily disabled. No biggie and as long as you’re safer that’s all that matters.

Hi all. So it's been a few weeks since i have turned 1pd off, and now i feel i am confident behind the wheel again, so will definitely stay away from 1pd for the foreseeable future. Thanks for all your comments and opinions
