My experiences with the short cables is strictly IVY. You have to get just the right angle to barely be able to plug in the charger connector. I have also parked parallel to the curb, and it makes it very easy as long as no one else is there.

IVY have indicated they will be retrofitting longer cables so they must've had a lot of complaints

Here are some facts. I located a brand new 150 KW on plugshare that just popped up (4 stalls no one there yet). Jule Park + Charge takes debit tap. On the way back I used a middle way IVY 50 KW to get it to 70%. These are the results.

Ivy also has no accountability for their slow charging times. I emailed several people and nothing is done to resolve the issue.

They jacked me around for half an hour at the charger. I have a user name and password as I have been using IVY for years and it is stored in the phone. Made me log in and then wanted to send me a one time password

Your one-time password is 50333. Please note that the password is only valid for one minute.

Well my phone was not receiving anything at this location let alone getting it typed in in 60 seconds (are you sh!tting me). Good thing someone was home they feed me the code and on the third attempt I logged in and was able to initiate charge. I try to skip this IVY as one was down for close to a year and you can sit there an hour waiting for someone else to get 50%. Unfortuniately it just happened I hit heavy ran and watched my consumption go from from 22 to 26 KW/100Km and thought if I charge to 80% at the earlier one I normally do I may not make it with 80% and 250 km if it gets any worse. I could make the IVY and then 70% would be more than enough. Avoiding IVY when possible but sometimes it can not be helped. Owned by Ontario Power Generation Corp that must sell power to themselves cheap and then rip us off.

If you have to use IVY at times, I would suggest you order an RFID card that would make the authentication a bit easier

After all the troubles since IVY went online, I think they are now either throttling the charge rate to maximize our payment, or bought deficient technology that they're stuck with now

365 V x 125 amp = 46 KW that is the best our hardware can do. Have always got around the 45 KW.

All ivy I have been to are 50KW max to date. I did not know ivy had faster chargers. If you keep your hands out of there when charging the chances of shock is reduced.

Most IVY locations in southern Ontario on the 400 & 401 used to be rated at 150 kw. Now they officially rate them at 100. What a joke!!

You guys down south get all the best stuff. The MME does 90 KW so I would take 100 KW any day. The 50 KW are really starting to wear on me and I thought the charging infrastructure would be better by now. Then came Doug Ford (no relation to the company )

Update / cross-post: I just completed the trip I mentioned earlier in this thread. Went entirely with Electrify Canada. Had more connection issues than I consider acceptable, but still pretty happy with the experience.

Quick summary:

• Good charge rates, even when starting with a higher-than-optimal SOC. Always saw around 125 kW initial rate.
• Good value

Recently took a trip from Windsor to Montreal and back. EVERY fast charger I stopped at had issues. Stations frequently down, energy output from chargers significantly below expected kW, customer service at stations no help. Canada is pushing for zero emissions vehicles but their infrastructure is pathetic. Very annoyed that a 1900km trip couldn't be more enjoyable.

Try living in Alberta - Putting chargers along Hwy 1, or 2 impedes the FREEDUMS of the oil and gas consumers.

I just got back from Toronto and Niagara Falls. Hertz gave me a Model3. I had no problems charging up at the superchargers. It was really easy just pull in plug-in. Hertz registered the cars with Tesla superchargers. There was a couple things I really liked on the Tesla versus the mustang 1) I loved on the left-hand side of the screen seeing where your car was in relationship to everybody else on the road. And 2) I really like that if you could just activate the cameras whenever you want it hopefully ford is listening activate those cameras.
Charging was cheap at supercharger. Hertz supposedly gets the bill and charges to your credit card on file when you rented
Unfortunately at the Marriott on the Falls only had level 1 charging and around 10 of them. But if you used those you had to use valet parking at $20 more a night. There is a tesla supercharger in Niagara Falls
